The three-card tarot spread
Three positions. The first card is what has been shaping the question. The second is what is happening now. The third is the lesson that wants to happen next.
Past, present, next
Past does not mean “years ago” unless your question is about years ago. It means the pattern you walked in with. Present is the picture in the room today. Next is not a fixed future. It is the direction the picture is pointing.
When you look at a card, it tells a story in the artwork. If you saw that story in a reading, you could interpret it as advice for that position: what to release, what to face, or what to practise.
